La Carpe d'Or

We are traveling by bicycle and the staff was kind enough to store our bike securely during our stay. They also recommended a good restaurant for dinner.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Fontainebleau for the Chateau. Fantastic location for visiting the chateau. Just one block away, and two blocks from the downtown shops and cafés. Very simple hotel with not a lot of amenities, but the price was good and the location was perfect. We were even able to store our luggage after checkout so we could visit the chateau.

Location great, just by the Chateau: staff very helpful after mislaid key: breakfast very good value.

The hotel haas a garage where we could park our bicycles. We were able to leave our luggage for the day and when we returned found they had delivers the bags up the stairs for us.
